# The Vaults

The BTCD Portfolio holds 50/50 BTC/USD exposure, but most users want a single-sided exposure: pure USD or pure BTC. The Vaults provide exactly this. Both vaults use sBTCD as collateral and borrow the opposite asset to isolate the user's desired exposure with amplified yield.
