# FISC

FISC is the governance and control layer of the Bitcoin Dollar protocol, empowering holders to set core parameters, onboard new assets and products, and steer treasury programs through a transparent forum→Snapshot process on a regular cadence, with passed proposals executed on-chain. 

Staking FISC mints sFISC—a composable receipt that, once the fee switch is on, accrues governance revenues and participates in ecosystem distributions as BTCD-enabled apps launch.
